The swallows are of the oldest tattooes that exist and though today it happens slightly enough differently, they were extremely popular between the men of the sea. The sailors were the first ones in adopting these birds between his designs for tattooes. As one counts, the custom was a swallow to be tattooed by every 5.000 nautical miles that were navigated, convinced this way that the swallows they were bringing good luck to the moment to be done to the sea.
This belief was such that many sailors began to do tattooes to him before dividing in his trip, as if about an amulet of good luck it was treating itself and that he was assuring his return them to house healthy and safe. But even a lot of time before, in the epoch of the former Egyptians, already there existed strongly admiration for these birds. The Egyptians were thinking that the swallows were those who were guarding the souls of the dead men.
